SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cosmetology and represents a hair remover comprising two compositions for sequential use, specifically a skin pre-treatment composition and a composition with an active component, characterized in that the skin pre-treatment composition includes at least one substance with a keratolytic action selected from: a hydroxy acid, a sodium salt of a hydroxy acid in an amount of not more than 12 wt% , and the composition with an active component is in the form of a gel based on at least one polymer selected from: polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylic acid, polyacrylamide in amount of 12 to 18 wt%, and includes at least one depilatory compound in an amount of from 1.5 to 16 wt%.

EFFECT: invention provides removal of not less than 95 % of hair with a root without pain or considerable reduction of painful sensations during epilation, as well as significant inhibition of hair growth until complete disappearance of the hair with repeated use of the declared agent.
