FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining of materials, assembled cutting tool with mechanical fastening of cutting plates. Disclosed is a support plate for a cutting plate, mechanically fixed in a body of the cutting tool body, having a body with a through hole, consisting of an upper part, on which the upper support surface is located, and a lower part, on which lower support surface is located, connected by support elements located partially on side surface along periphery of plate and partially between upper and lower parts and made integral with body. In particular, support elements are made in form of rods bent in direction of lower surface, pairwise converging to upper surface.
EFFECT: reduced peak loads associated with cyclic and impact changes of cutting forces and reduced chastises and chips of cutting edges of cutting edges installed on support plates in sockets of cutting tools.
