METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PTOSIS OF MAMMARY GLAND Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2699213 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to plastic surgery. Mammary gland is treated with de-epidermisation, the lateral and medial derma, subcutaneous fat and mammary tissue are dissected to a thoracic wall with creation of three flaps. Tunnel is formed under the central flap. Front flap of the central flap is implanted into the tunnel; lateral flaps are formed, followed by cross-linking in the form of columns and closing the skin. Lateral flaps are formed by dissecting along the boundary of de-epidermisation, from the base of the new areola from the lateral and medial side vertically downwards to the submammary fold, measuring from 6.0 to 8.0 cm from the future lower edge of the areola downwards. Subcutaneous fat and tissue of the gland is dissected to a thoracic wall to form a central flap within measured 6.0 to 8.0 cm. Dissection is then performed between the derma and the thoracic wall below the lateral flaps in the form of columns and to the submammary fold, between the central flap and thoracic wall to level of 2–3 ribs is used to form a tunnel with width of 5.0–8.0 cm, and measuring on lateral flaps in the form of columns from 6.0 to 8.0 cm from future lower edge of areola. Tissue of the gland is dissected up to the border of submammary fold transversally and dissection is subdermally from the point of intersection to the submammary fold, preserving the whole breast tissue. Front and lower parts of the central flap are invaginated into a tunnel and fixed to a greater pectoral muscle with a suture; lateral flaps formed in the form of columns are connected with the help of sutures so that a breast emf is formed.

EFFECT: method enables simplifying and reducing the length of the operation, preserving the whole parenchyma of the mammary gland with increasing the projection of the latter.
