SUBSTANCE: method of operation of a gas turbine with a compressor, a turbine and a sequential combustion device with a first combustion device, a second burner and a second combustion chamber, mixing section that allows mixing of diluted gas with combustion products of the first combustion device, coming out of the first combustion chamber during operation, the second burner and the second combustion chamber. First combustion device comprises a first burner for compressed gas exiting the compressor and a first combustion chamber. First combustion device, the mixing section, the second burner and the second combustion chamber are arranged in series in the fluid communication. Method includes steps of compressing inlet gas in a compressor, mixing a first fuel with at least a portion of compressed gas in a first burner, mixture is combusted in the first combustion chamber to produce the first combustion products of the combustion device. Dilution gas is mixed through at least one dilution gas hole in the mixing section with a first pulse stream. At that, the first combustion products of the combustion device are supplied to the mixing section with the second pulse flow. Ratio of the first pulse flux to the second pulse flux is maintained in a certain range of values relative to the calculated ratio of the first pulse flux to the second pulse flux. Ratio of the first pulse flux to the second pulse flux is increased relative to the ratio at the design conditions of the gas turbine at load below 60 % of the relative load of the gas turbine.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at providing stable combustion with low combustion products emissions.
