FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of spot welding by welding element containing at least one sheet of steel with tensile strength of 980 MPa or more. Method comprises the following steps. Force P1 (kN) of compression is applied to said steel sheets when current I1 (kA) is passed through electrodes to produce molten metal. Current Ic (kA) is passed during cooling time tc (c) while maintaining compression force P1 with creation of a welded point. Performing at least two cycles of increasing and reducing compression force with forging, wherein current I2 (kA) is passed through welding electrodes when applying compression force P2 (kN) during compression time tf (c) and immediately after it application of compression force P3 (kN) during compression time ti (c). Compression force P2 is applied for compression time tf. Compression force is removed and current transmission is stopped. Said welding parameters are related by given mathematical relationships.
EFFECT: method ensures production of a welded element having high resistance to delayed destruction.
