FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular, to compositions of gray cast iron, which can be used for casting of parts of extra load trucks. Cast iron contains, wt. %: carbon 2.14–2.4; silicon 1.9–2.4; manganese 0.2–0.5; chromium 0.01–0.06; nickel 0.02–0.2; copper 0.02–0.6; titanium 0.02–0.05; calcium 0.01–0.05; aluminium 0.01–0.05; antimony 0.01–0.1; sulphur to 0.012; phosphorus 0.06–0.1; iron is the balance.
EFFECT: disclosed composition increases the ductility of cast iron, as well as increases strength and wear resistance of cast iron while maintaining satisfactory machinability of cutting.
