FIELD: geology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engineering-geological survey, in particular, to methods of determining change in stability of frozen soil bases. According to the disclosed method, a ground base accommodates probes, each of which comprises a heating element, a receiving acoustic transducer and a thermometer. With the help of probes the ground base is thawed and the resulting acoustic emission (AE) is recorded. Samples of soil are taken from the examined base. Compliance of AE parameters with stages of deformed condition of soil and its characteristics by standardized methods, for example according to GOST 12248, is determined on them. Determine the values of activity ṄΣ and pulse duration Dimp AE averaged during thawing time M(ṄthΣ), M(Dimpth) and melting ground heating M(ṄhΣ), M(Dimph). Calculating an indicator Rtgr=[M(ṄhΣ) · M(Dimph) / [M(ṄthΣ) · M(Dimpth)]. Comparing the full-scale values Rtgrm with obtained on samples values of RtgrL, state of surveyed soil base is determined.
EFFECT: possibility of monitoring stability of frozen soil bases in monitoring mode.
