SEISMIC SURVEY METHOD Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01V1/00 G01V1/28

Abstract RU 2700009 C1

FIELD: geophysics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used in soil geophysics aimed at studying elastic properties of soil and underlying soils. Disclosed is a method of seismic survey, which is based on excitation of seismic vibrations with a vibration source and detection of oscillations by immersible seismic receivers located in the near-surface zone. Difference lies in the fact that it allows studying the elastic properties of the near-surface zone above the maximum depth of immersion of the seismic receiver and below it. This is achieved by detecting oscillations at different depths, starting from the soil layer, during the pile immersion, to the end of which the seismic receiver is attached. Seismogram similar to a seismogram of vertical seismic profiling is formed from seismic records obtained at different depths of the seismic receiver. Seismic receiver is pressed inside the medium by means of a vibration source attached to the upper end of the pile, to the lower end of which a seismic receiver is attached. At each depth of the seismic receiver, oscillations from the vibration source, located at a distance from the pressed pile, which is comparable to the depth of the seismic receiver, are additionally recorded. This allows recording not only longitudinal, but also transverse and exchange waves. In this case, to the end of the pile, a three-component seismometer is attached, and waves of different types are separated in a straight longitudinal wave using its polarization.

EFFECT: high information value of the obtained data owing to recording seismic vibrations at different depths located between the earth's surface and the maximum depth of the seismic receiver immersion.
