FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for vibration seismic survey is based on exiting and detecting seismic vibrations in a wide frequency band which extends into the low-frequency range, and generating vibrations with a fixed amplitude of the reactive mass of the vibration source, which transmits the excited vibrations into rocks through base plate of the vibration source. To this end, the excited continuous vibrations are split into two intervals, one of which corresponds to the low frequency part of the operating frequency band and the other interval corresponds to the higher frequency part. Variation in the amplitude of the excited vibrations and frequencies thereof in time in the low frequency part is selected in the form a nonlinear curve based on the condition of constancy of the amplitude of the reactive mass, and in the other part of the range of excited vibrations, the relationship between the amplitude and frequency and time is set liner or also varying according to a nonlinear law. In one embodiment of the method, the boundary point of transitioning from the nonlinear part of excited vibrations to the linear part is selected based on the relationship between the motion of the reactive mass of the vibration sensor and frequency.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the method.
