FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to underwater navigation, namely to determination of underwater object location by means of hydroacoustic navigation system, and can be used to determine navigation parameters (azimuth, range, inclined distance) of underwater object. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that additionally install in the immediate vicinity of the ship receiving antenna with minimum directional pattern in the horizontal plane the second ship receiving antenna with a circular pattern in the lower hemisphere of space under the ship, which is used to receive navigation signals coming from a beacon-pinger of an underwater facility on a direct beam, selecting them among delayed signals reflected from underwater inhomogeneities by maximum amplitude, in bearing fixing on beacon-pinger of underwater object relative to ship heading by minimum amplitude of signals at output of ship receiving antenna at moments of time, which coincide with time position of signals at output of second ship receiving antenna, which came in straight beam.
EFFECT: reduced errors of determination of coordinates of underwater object relative to support vessel.
