SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in electric machine building in the production of electric motors. Magnetic system of synchronous motor includes rotor, magnetic poles made of permanent magnets, two rows of short-circuited rods made of different electroconductive materials. On the outer side of the rotor there are permanent magnets forming magnetic poles, a permanent band consisting of two or more electrically conducting cylinders of different specific electric resistance is placed above the permanent magnets.

EFFECT: higher power characteristics: useful power, mechanical moment, power factor, efficiency at reduction of weight and dimensions.
