FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a water-soluble polymer product in form of particles, comprising amphoteric polyacrylamide, which is obtained via gel polymerisation of more than 85 mol. % structural acrylamide units and/or methacrylamide together with less than 15 mol. % of structural elementary links, having anionic and cationic monomers origin. Amphoteric polyacrylamide is characterized by weight-average molecular weight of MM in range of 1,500,000-6,000,000 g/mol and resulting cationic charge, wherein the polymer product is characterized by polymer content of at least 60 wt. %. Invention also relates to versions of use of polymer product in production of paper and cardboard.
EFFECT: technical result is providing improved strength in compression test on short rollers, bursting strength and tensile strength for handheld sheets and non-hydrophobizated paper with glued surface, improved retention characteristics of starch and dehydration.
