SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a support rack for external application, in particular for creation of enclosures or application in agriculture or horticulture, for example, for support or support of climbing plants, or creeping plants, or any other types of plants, in particular such fruit plants as apple or pear, kiwi fruit or lemon trees, as well as shrubs. Technical result is achieved by the fact that support post for enclosures or application in agriculture, is extended along longitudinal axis (Z) and is made of metal sheet bent to create, in fact, polygonal cross-section with multiple walls located at an angle to each other and connected in a single body by connecting parts, wherein at least on one section of length of at least one of the connecting parts between the walls there are stiffening ribs extending transversely relative to said longitudinal axis (Z), wherein said stiffness ribs comprise at least one rib segment made at least on said connecting portion and inclined relative to said longitudinal axis (Z) at an angle (α) with amplitude making from 10° up to 80°, and technical result is achieved by method of making such support post.

EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a support post, which has high resistance to stress, in particular, in torsion and bending.
