FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely, to automotive body structure. Proposed body comprises carcass with multiple extruded profiled box sections jointed together. Said carcass comprises only first and second types of extruded sections. First type of extruded sections has top wall, external side wall, internal side wall and bottom wall. Top wall makes lateral rib extending beyond external lateral wall which, in its turn, makes bottom rib extending downward beyond bottom wall. Internal lateral rib runs from internal wall and/or bottom wall in plane located below top wall plane. Second type of extruded sections represents rectangular cross section. One of walls of second type runs to make two lengthwise ribs that extend on opposite sides. First type of extruded sections is used to form lateral girders of wind glass opening and lengthwise lateral structural components of car roof. Second type of extruded sections is used to form entire carcass. Invention covers also method of designing car body structure.
