FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective metal coatings, for example, for protection of articles from steel, copper and its alloys against corrosion, and can be used to improve operational and consumer properties of articles. Multilayer corrosion-resistant coating based on binary Ni-W alloy contains 6 or more alternating layers. Odd layers with thickness of 0.1–2 mcm consist of binary Ni-W alloy with low content of tungsten up to 5 wt%, and even layers with thickness of 0.1–2 mcm consist of binary Ni-W alloy with tungsten content of 5–80 wt%.
EFFECT: providing corrosion-resistant multilayer protective coating, which is chemically resistant to halogen-containing media, has high mechanical strength, resistance to abrasive wear and high degree of adhesion to the substrate.
