FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to sheet steel with applied metal coating. It can be used in automotive industry. On sheet steel surface there is a coating containing, wt. %: from 1.0 to 22.0 of zinc, from 0.1 to 1.0 of titanium, from 1.6 to 15.0 of silicon, less than 0.5 of magnesium, less than 0.05 La or Ce or both, less than 0.2 Sn and up to 0.3 optional additional elements selected from Sb, Pb, Ca, Mn, Cr, Ni, Zr, In, Hf or Bi, balance - aluminum and unavoidable impurities. Microstructure of the coating does not contain binary phases of Al-Zn.
EFFECT: higher corrosion resistance, in particular amplification of cathodic protection.
