FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to chain tensioning devices. Tensioner of vehicle transmission chain comprises two mounting elements made from metal strip, with formation of bases on opposite edges. Each of the bases is connected to the stand installed at an angle to the corresponding base, and racks of one mounting element are interconnected by bridges. Stands are made with lugs protruding beyond plane of jumpers location on the side opposite to side of rack position. On the first web, near the line of passage of the upper branch of the vehicle transmission chain and on the second web, near the line of passage of the lower branch of the vehicle transmission chain, there are axes fixed perpendicular to the plane of the jumpers arrangement. On axes there are levers fixed, each of which is made of metal strip with formation on each lever of lugs located in planes perpendicular to planes, in which planes of bridges are located. Four levers are fixed on levers at equal distance from axles. Ears of the first lever and the post of the first mounting element, as well as the ears of the second lever and the post of the second mounting element are interconnected by springs.
