SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates mainly to covers of manhole covers of engineering structures, rainwater receptacles, in particular to covers of hatches with retainers, preventing spontaneous opening or displacement of cover from the seat of the manhole when motor transport. Manhole cover of the manhole with retaining device and stiffness ribs located radially on the inner side of the hatch cover and two diametrically opposite lugs for the frame saddles. Manhole cover can contain stiffeners. Cover has a retaining device made in the form of two projections. Projections are made in the form of one-side wedge, with possibility of engagement under frame flange. Note here that one projection is arranged at free end of resilient bracket extending parallel with cover circle nearby its edge. Other end of the bracket is fixed on the stiffness rib, and the second projection is located on the extension of the available stiffness rib located along the lug axis for the frame seat from the opposite elastic bracket of the hatch cover side and is extension of this rib. Existing stiffness rib located along the lug axis of the frame seat on the side of the resilient bracket is made shortened so that between the outer end face of the stiffness rib and the clamp there is a gap restricting the elastic bracket stroke during the hatch cover installation into the frame. To reduce damping loads and to improve coupling of cover and frame surfaces, proposed damping pad gasket of manhole cover with retaining device is applied. Gasket is made in the form of rubber annular cuff of L-shaped section with possibility of installation on surface of horizontal ring platform of inspection well frame.

EFFECT: improved convenience of operation, reduced time of repair of manholes.
