FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used as current-limiting device in powerful networks to limit short-circuit shock current. Current-limiting device comprises first and second sections connected in parallel. First section contains serially connected alternating voltage source, the first switch, buses, the second switch, feeder current-limiting reactor and consumer. Second section contains alternating voltage source, the first switch, buses, the second switch, feeder group current-limiting reactor, additional buses to which consumers are connected in parallel. Tires of the first section are connected to buses of the second section with an inter-section current-limiting reactor. Feeder group current-limiting reactor is made as an electric machine of an alternating current with a locked rotor, comprising an outer core in the form of a hollow cylinder with slots on its inner surface, in which a primary three-phase winding is arranged, and arranged inside the outer core coaxially with the first, second, third and fourth cores of toroidal shape with slots on their external surfaces, in which corresponding secondary three-phase windings are arranged. Said structure of said reactor ensures equality of voltages and currents in supply circuits of consumers in all modes of their operation.
EFFECT: alignment of working currents of second section consumers.
