FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and synthesis methods. To obtain lithium bromate, an exchange reaction is carried out between saturated solutions of calcium bromate and lithium hydroxide. Calcium hydroxide precipitate is removed from solution. Residual calcium ions are precipitated by adding a saturated solution of lithium carbonate, followed by removal by filtration. Mother solution is evaporated to obtain crystalline lithium bromate at temperature of 80–90 °C.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining high-purity lithium bromate with high output of the product from available reagents using simple equipment.
