FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: muzzle device of small arms comprises body and attachment assembly consisting of centering insert and nut with retainer. Centering insert is rigidly fixed in the housing, there are a row of radial grooves and threaded seat for nut installation. On the nut there is a stop interacting with the bayonet projection of the weapon, and a groove for installation of a spring-loaded retainer having a ledge which, when interacting with radial slots of the centering insert, forms a ratchet mechanism.

EFFECT: alignment of the barrel channel with the bullet channel of the muzzle device, non-play connection of the muzzle device to the barrel, shorter time for installation and dismantling.
