FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: in order to overcome disadvantages of feeding with lubrication under pressure, hydrodynamic bearing for direction of shaft (14) includes fixed external annular wall, rotating internal annular wall (20) and space (22) between these walls. Outer annular wall comprises feed hole (24) of lubricating space under pressure to produce a carrier fluid film. Bearing includes cavity (30) limited from outside by internal annular wall (20) and limited in axial direction by two transverse annular walls (31A, 31B), fixedly connected with shaft (14) and located on both sides of cavity. Inner annular wall (20) comprises means (32) of hydraulic connection, connecting cavity (30) with space (22). Cavity (30) is divided into compartments (50, 52) by separating means (48) so that it forms reserve of lubricant for transient working phase.

EFFECT: avoiding seizure of hydrodynamic bearing.
