FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: hypersonic ramjet engine includes a convergent inlet opening, a combustion chamber unit configured to introduce a fuel flow into the air flow in the combustion chamber and combust the fuel-air mixture flow with creation of the outgoing flow, and a diverging outlet nozzle configured to accelerate the outgoing flow. Combustion chamber assembly includes fuel injection system including at least one electric arc unit. Method of traction for aircraft includes compression of supersonic incoming air flow in convergent inlet opening, Injection of fuel flow into air flow in combustion chamber with creation of fuel-air mixture flow, ignition of fuel-air mixture flow with creation of outgoing flow and outlet of outgoing flow from expanding outlet nozzle. Injection of fuel flow is carried out at a rate which is at least twice higher than speed of incoming air flow to create shift between fuel flow and air flow.
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at improving efficiency of mixing fuel and air.
