SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry and can be used for complex selection of solvent composition by evaluating effect of solvent composition on dissolving capacity, as well as rheological and optical properties of bituminous oil in order to reduce operating costs and increase oil recovery factor. Method of complex selection of solvent composition for impacting bituminous oil, involving sampling bituminous oil from wells, preparation of bituminous oil samples for analysis, selecting a solvent composition, carrying out rheological and optical investigations with a control sample and with samples when reacting with a solvent composition, determining solvent power of solvent composition, complex selection of solvent composition for action on bituminous oil is carried out taking into account change in dynamic viscosity of oil when reacting with solvent composition depending on temperature and velocity gradient at maximum reduction of dynamic viscosity of solution in comparison with dynamic viscosity of control sample of bituminous oil at a certain type of its preparation, Ie prior to action of solvent composition during dehydration of oil to water content of not more than 3 wt%, based on change in light absorption coefficient and concentration of asphaltenes in oil when reacting with solvent composition solvent composition is selected, which in interaction with bituminous oil has maximum approximated values of light absorption coefficient and concentration of asphaltenes to values of similar values of control sample, as well as taking into account the assessment of the degree of washing and degree of diffusion of the analyzed solvent composition, namely, a solvent composition which is characterized by the highest degree of oil washing from the bitumen-saturated core and the highest degree of diffusion of the solvent composition into the bitumen-saturated core material.
