METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF CHEMICAL REAGENTS IMPACT ON OIL RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N11/02

Abstract RU 2687717 C1

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of oil and gas industry and can be used for selection of chemical reagents for use in oil production technological processes on the basis of assessment of chemical composition impact on rheological properties of oil, in particular, high-viscosity and bituminous oil, to reduce operating costs and increase oil recovery factor. Disclosed is a method of assessing the effect of chemical reagents on rheological properties of oil, comprising sampling bituminous oil from wells, preparing samples of bituminous oil for analysis, which includes centrifuging bituminous oil for separation of water, mixing the calculated volume of oil and chemical reagents; conducting rheological analysis of the control sample and the sample with a chemical reagent on a viscometer. Evaluation of efficiency of chemical reagents effect on rheological properties and selection of the most effective reagent is carried out in accordance with generalized assessment of chemical reagents composition and taking into account the results of change of rheological properties of oil with analyzed chemical reagents depending on temperature and velocity gradient, having sufficient accuracy and reliability.

EFFECT: high efficiency of using chemical reagents, which reduces material and operational costs, increases oil recovery and ultimately increases economic efficiency.
