FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to compositions for making hard-hardened ferrites. It can be used in waste water treatment processes, in magnetic filters, as grinding and mixing bodies in electromagnetic apparatuses. Composition for making hard-magnetic ferrites contains, wt%: strontium hexaferrit 70–85, gel-like aerosil 3–5, iron-containing sludge 3–7 and iron scales – the rest. Strontium hexaferrite powder is treated by magnetic field exposure in electromagnetic apparatus, preferably at magnetic field intensity of 50–90 kA/m. Said heat-treated sludge and gel-like aerosol are added to electromagnetic apparatus, mixed at magnetic field effect, adding to obtained mixture a solution of polyvinyl acetate emulsion and performing pressing or molding of material and its subsequent sintering at 1,150–1,180 °C to produce magnetically hard ferrites.

EFFECT: higher magnetic and strength properties.
