SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a multi-position tool for use at downhole end of a transportation string for performance of works in a casing string. This tool comprises a mandrel connected to a conveying string; actuating mechanism housing, configured to slide in axial direction along mandrel between wellhead position, at least one intermediate position and bottom position; wellhead device configured to function between the actuation position, wherein the actuating mechanism housing is in the wellhead position, and the non-operating position; and device from downhole side, configured to function between actuation position, in which housing of actuation mechanism is in downhole position, and non-working position. Both the wellhead device and the downhole side device are in their idle positions when the actuator housing is in at least one intermediate position. Tool comprises a bayonet slot mechanism configured to function between the actuator case and the mandrel to move the actuator housing between the at least one intermediate and bottom-hole positions.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of multi-position tool.
