FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the oil and gas industry, particularly to protection of borehole tools and equipment during transportation of fluids with erosive and/or corrosive characteristics. The unit protecting the borehole equipment from wear is comprised of an insulating sleeve with a first end, a second end, an outer surface and an inner surface defining a channel. A supporting apparatus configured to move in the insulating sleeve. The insulating sleeve is located between the borehole equipment and the erosive or corrosive fluids. In the first position, the supporting apparatus engages detachably with the insulating sleeve. A highly erodible additive material is added to a part of the inner surface of the insulating sleeve. To implement the method of protecting the borehole equipment from wear in the wellbore, the equipment is installed into the protective sleeve unit comprising the supporting sleeve located in the first position in the isolating sleeve. A first profile with grooves on the inner surface of the isolating sleeve engages with multiple first guide keys on the mandrel for securing the borehole equipment. A second profile with grooves on the inner surface of the supporting sleeve engages with multiple second guide keys on the mandrel for securing the borehole equipment. The equipment and the mandrel for borehole equipment with the insulating sleeve and the supporting sleeve are lowered into the wellbore. Multiple of clamp fixture pins are pressed on the insulating sleeve, the latch connection engages with the insulating sleeve. The supporting sleeve is blocked in the second position closest to the first end of the insulating sleeve and the borehole equipment is extracted from the wellbore.
EFFECT: increased reliability of borehole equipment protection due to prevented erosion of the latch connection profile.
