FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electric engineering for relay protection of AC electric machines. Device for protection of alternating current machine includes unit for monitoring state of stator winding with temperature sensor, control unit with switching device and reacting element. Stator winding state monitoring unit additionally includes induction sensor, and switching device is made in the form of two parallel-connected thyristors, which are closed when receiving signals from temperature and induction sensors, wherein the reacting element is a polarized relay which responds to positive and negative current components in this phase, a signal from which contacts is transmitted to the display unit. If a positive or negative component appears in the current, the response element generates a signal on the type of AC machine state for the display unit and for the AC machine shutdown.
EFFECT: technical result is broader functional capabilities of protecting an alternating current electrical machine, which will reduce the cost of said protection and dramatically reduce the size of damage to the alternating current machine.
