FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing static copolymers of vinyl aromatic compounds and conjugated dienes in a medium of a hydrocarbon solvent in the presence of an organolithium initiator and an electron-donor additive (ED). ED contains in its structure at least two heteroatoms. ED is fed into reaction medium in two steps. First portion of ED is supplied at the beginning of the process, the amount of the first portion makes 70–90 % of the total amount of ED used. Second portion of ED is fed in conversion of monomers 70–90 %, the amount of the second portion is 10–30 % of the total amount of ED used. Also described is a static copolymer of a vinyl aromatic compound and a conjugated diene and a rubber composition.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of total number of steps of obtaining a copolymer, low turnover of copolymers at 90 °C by 4–6 times, as well as obtaining random copolymers of vinyl aromatic compounds and conjugated dienes with given polydispersity in range of 1,3–2,3 units and given values of Mooney viscosity and content of 1,2-links.
