SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a special field of electrical engineering, specifically to excitation schemes of electric shocks providing pulsed voltage, and can be used in systems of physical protection of objects and in military science. Novelty in the method for increasing the operating time of the electrically driven enclosure from an autonomous electric power source is that extended linear part is divided into several separate local linear parts and high-voltage pulse is supplied to corresponding local linear part after information is received from means of detection on appearance of intruder in installation area of local linear part. Novelty in the device for increasing the operating time of the electrified barrier from an autonomous electric power source, consisting of an independent electric power source, an electrical energy converter, a matching device, a detection device, a microcontroller, a grounding device, a cable network, a local linear part, a detection means is that device provides connection of several local linear parts combined with detection means, and supplies high-voltage pulse to certain local linear part after receipt from facility for detection of information on appearance of intruder in installation area of local linear part.

EFFECT: technical result is longer service life of electrically driven barrier from self-contained electric power source.
