SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of lifting sunken objects, in particular, to devices for shortening lifting slings of steel lifting pontoons. Device for shortening lifting slings of lifting pontoon comprises a mechanism for picking up of lifting sling slack, moving in pontoon hawse, and lifting sling fixing unit. Device for shortening of lifting slings is made detachable, mechanism for picking up of lifting sling slack is made in form of installed inside pipe hawse with external thread in lower part, having through hole in diametral plane, pin installed in the through hole during the hoisting of the lifting pontoon, and a slot in the upper part. Lifting sling fixing unit is made in the form of a support with internal thread interacting with the pipe.

EFFECT: simplified design of device for shortening lifting slings, increased efficiency of device use, versatility and mobility of lifting pontoons.
