FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of treating an aqueous solution obtained by dissolving spent nuclear fuel in nitric acid. Treatment method involves combined extraction of uranium and plutonium, which involves contacting in an extractor of an aqueous solution with an organic solution containing 1 mol/l to 2 mol/l of N,N-di(2-ethylhexyl)-3,3-dimethylbutanamide or a mixture of N,N-di(2-ethylhexyl)-isobutanamide and N,N-di(2-ethylhexyl)-n-butanamide as an extractant, purifying the organic solution, separation of uranium and plutonium contained in organic solution, re-extraction of plutonium in degree of oxidation +IV and fraction of uranium from organic solution, extraction of all or part of uranium fraction contained in water solution, purification of organic solution from technetium, regeneration of organic phase, wherein first and second aqueous solutions are obtained, purified from americium, curium and fission products, including technetium, where the first aqueous solution contains plutonium without uranium or a mixture of plutonium and uranium, and the second aqueous solution contains uranium without plutonium.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible not to resort to operation of re-extraction of plutonium.
