FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of pipe products of fuel elements of nuclear reactors by drawing. Proposed method comprises preforming of billet with sharpened and conical sections on billet to be drawn through monolith bogie to define maximum permissible degree of deformation. Ultimate allowable degree of deformation is determined from the condition of preventing destruction of metal products from residual stresses and load during subsequent operation and is regulated by mathematical relationship.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of maintaining strength of pipes in operating conditions of fuel elements of nuclear reactors.
