FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to combustion chambers of gas-turbine plants operating on gaseous hydrocarbon fuel and using catalytic agents in their operation. Method of fuel preparation and combustion in combustion chamber of gas-turbine plant includes air supply due to compressor into combustion chamber, supply of gaseous hydrocarbon fuel to one part of nozzles of combustion chamber, supply of gas mixture to another part of nozzles of combustion chamber, containing at least CO and H2, obtained by mixing said gaseous hydrocarbon fuel with air and passing said fuel-air mixture through a preheated catalyst. Gas mixture is fed to nozzles of combustion chamber with provision of pressure drop on said nozzles of not less than 0.5 kgf/cm by changing pressure of air and gaseous hydrocarbon fuel forming fuel-air mixture passed through catalyst. Excess air factor of fuel-air mixture is in range from 0.25 to 0.32. Air for the fuel-air mixture is obtained from a third-party air source, and pre-heating of the catalyst is carried out from an independent heat source.

EFFECT: invention simplifies tuning of the gas turbine plant under variable operating conditions while preserving environmental characteristics.
