SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of blocking advertisement notifications. Intercepting means intercept the DNS request originating from the computing device, wherein the interception result is obtaining a URL from the DNS request and information on the application executing said request. Using an interceptor, a set is received from at least one rule for transmitting a DNS request based on the URL and information on the application executing the request. Using an interception means, a DNS request is blocked if at least one received rule of transmitting a DNS request from a previously obtained set of rules requires blocking transmission of a DNS request.
EFFECT: blocking DNS requests to advertising servers carried out by an application.
