FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of structural mechanics and can be used in designing bearing arched coatings from thin-sheet cold-bent profiled sheets. Method for determination of residual stresses in compressed shelves of arched steel thin-sheet cold-rolled shaped sheets consists in the fact that in the compressed shelf of arched steel thin-sheet cold-rolled profiled sheet through cuts are made in the form of two parallel cuts oriented along the profile of sawing in the investigated shelf and through cuts in the form of sawing oriented across the profile in the middle of design length and along edges, with further measurement of physical parameters (deflection) by micrometer and calculation of residual stresses by formula. Use of operations (making cuts) allows sufficiently fast, without using special equipment, to determine residual stresses in compressed shelves of arched cold-rolled profiled sheets.

EFFECT: improvement of existing method for determination of residual stresses, simplification of calculations, as well as improvement of accuracy of measurement of deflections.
