FIELD: nanotechnologies.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nanotechnology and can be used to reinforce mechanical properties of composite materials based on epoxy resins, modify adhesive compositions, obtain supercondensers. Solution containing urea and/or thiourea, water and concentrated mineral acid is treated in an ultrasonic concentrator. Then fluorinated carbon nanotubes are added in amount providing their concentration in solution of 1–2 mg/g. Treated solution is diluted and filtered with washing with water till neutral acidity. Filtered modified carbon nanotubes are diluted with water, treated in an ultrasonic bath and diluted again with water. Obtained solution is filtered with washing with acetone. Carbon nanotubes modified with urea and/or thiourea are dried. If necessary, they can additionally be functionalised with water-soluble epoxy resins, for example DEG-1, TEG-1 or epoxy-hydantoin EG-10 resin.

EFFECT: increased output of end product, reduced power consumption and reduced period of time for obtaining modified carbon nanotubes.
