FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to head mechanical fuses of impact action for artillery ammunition and melee weapons. Main mechanical fuse includes housing, pyrotechnical safety device, impact mechanism with inertial body and percussion igniter mechanism, as well as a centrifugal safety mechanism and a self-destruct mechanism, which together with a percussion igniter mechanism are arranged in an inertial body configured to axially and transversely move thereon after cocking. Inertial body has annular flange supporting relative to housing, shifted towards fuse bottom relative to inertial body center of mass, housing is equipped with cap. Pyrotechnical safety device is made in form of sleeve with pyrotechnic composition and is arranged between inertial body and cap.

EFFECT: reduction of the fuse size along the length with simultaneous increase in the impact action reliability on any types of obstacles in the wide range of the meeting angles.
