FIELD: mechanical percussion fuses for firing components of cluster ammunition, applicable both in artillery and rocket ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: the inertia safety mechanism of the fuse consists of a spring-loaded cap with a boss on the bottom and a lock in the form of a thin bar hinge-suspended above the cap, and coaxially entering the cap and the spring through the boss, the lock length is made for disengagement from the cap at its sinking.
EFFECT: enhanced safety due to introduction of several successively operating and functionally linked steps of protection, as well as precision of provision of the time of remote cocking and self-destruction by employment of pyrotechnical delay assemblies developed by a long-term practice of designing of fuses and mass manufacture of them.
