FIELD: aviation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for automatic control of longitudinal movement of an aircraft. Method consists in using control signals received from sensors of flight parameters measuring system into computer system of automatic flight control, in which control signals are generated to elevation rudder drive so as to provide automatic landing of aircraft from preset reduction height to point of smooth touch of runway along curve of fastest descent – descending branch brachistochrone, coordinates of which are entered into on-board digital computer before aircraft preparation for departure.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and safety of aircraft motion at section of height reduction "Leveling".
