FIELD: hydraulic engineering.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to hydraulic engineering and can be used for repair and preventive works of shutoff valves on hydraulic structures, in particular, submersible (buried) sewer pump stations (SPS). Method comprises shutting off opening of suction pipeline of pump unit of intake compartment of SPS, dismantling section of suction pipeline of pumping line of waste water pumping unit, replacement of gate valve at suction pipeline of pump unit, its check for tightness, installation of section of suction pipeline and performance of hydraulic tests. SPS pipeline suction port opening is performed by installation of temporary section in underwater area of receiving compartment by performing diving works. Temporary section contains a turnbuckle, a slinging unit to the lifting device and a gateway with a gate valve. Gateway is a hollow quadrangular truncated pyramid, the base of which geometrically repeats the external surface of the concrete wall with the hole of the SPS suction pipeline, and opposite to base side of pyramid is configured to install turnbuckle. Seal is installed along the perimeter of the gateway base. Device for method implementation represents temporary section in underwater zone of receiving section of sewage pumping station, containing water supply in form of gateway, having inlet connected with underwater zone of receiving compartment, and outlet connected with hole of suction pipeline of SPS. Input of water supply has temporary overlapping, and outlet is open. Gate valve is used as temporary shutoff of inlet of water supply for pressure equalization during installation or dismantling of gateway.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of replacing a gate valve with a new one without stopping the process of treating waste water.
