FIELD: radio equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and specifically to designs of variable capacitors and can be used in various radioelectronic equipment. Adjustable capacitor of "butterfly" type, comprising a fixed part in the form of a set of cylindrical elements, inside which there are moving pistons connecting "butterfly wings", characterized by that it additionally includes a collector motor with a reduction gear, coupling coupled with commutator motor with reduction gear, screw coupled with coupling, insulator mechanically coupled with movable piston and screw, first and second limit switches, sensor for measuring incident and reflected waves, microcontroller, first input of which is connected to output of incident and reflected waves measurement sensor, second input is connected to output of first limit switch, third input – with output of the second limit switch, and output – with commutator motor with reduction gear. By the preset tuning frequency based on the calibration table of the capacitor capacitance, the value of the piston movement along the horizontal axis of the mechanism is set.

EFFECT: high accuracy of setting the required capacitance value of the capacitor owing to the constant standing wave ratio monitoring mechanism and by eliminating leakage currents in the disclosed structure is the technical result of the invention.
