Technical result is achieved by metal-polymer composite material, which includes polymer matrix and reinforcing elements from material with shape memory effect. At that reinforcing elements are fibers, plates or their combination, preliminary deformed with degree of deformation not higher than critical, and their volume fraction VA corresponds to ratio

where EM – modulus of elasticity of matrix, EA – "effective" modulus of elasticity of material of reinforcing elements in martensite state, K is coefficient depending on structure of composite and deformation scheme of reinforcing elements.

EFFECT: material implementation of two-way shape memory effect of not less than 1 % during thermal cycling through interval of direct and reverse martensitic transformation.
