FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to a functional and cosmetic prosthetic hand. The prosthesis includes a cover imitating the skin, a filler made of polymer material and reinforcing filler elements. The reinforcing filler elements are made of a material with a shape memory effect with temperatures of reverse martensitic transformation above the operating temperature of the prosthesis. The filler is made with the possibility of elastically deforming by an amount of at least critical deformation of the material of reinforcing elements with the shape memory effect.
EFFECT: possibility of flexion and extension of the fingers of the prosthesis with the second hand is achieved without the use of auxiliary mechanisms while maintaining high aesthetics.
