FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of stabilizing the rotation speed of a hydraulic machine having an S-shape relationship between torque and rotation speed to enable connection of said machine to an electrical network and a plant comprising a hydraulic machine. Method includes stages, at which preset useful head (Hn_final) and specified value (Y_final) of flow section are calculated to change position of guide vanes of machine. Hn_final and Y_final are calculated for situation, when torque generated by water flow on impeller equals zero and machine rotates at preset speed (Nc) to synchronize machine with electrical network based on network frequency. Further, actual effective head (Hn), which is acting in the machine, is determined, Hn_final is compared to Hn and the flow passage between the guide vanes is adjusted to obtain Y_final and the height difference (ε1) is reduced in height between Hn_final and Hn.
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at stabilization of machine rotation speed before its connection to network.
