FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for abrasive processing of short through holes of parts. Honing head is rotated and displaced in lengthwise direction with reversal at the end of every stroke when bars are removed from machined bore. Through hole is treated on two opposite sides of the part by means of its periodic turning of the processed part. Honing cycle is divided into at least two or more sub-cycles, in each of which treatment is performed from different sides of part. Time of each sub-cycle is determined depending on hole shape error in longitudinal direction after performance of previous sub-cycle and average speed of material removal.
EFFECT: result is increased efficiency of honing, uniformity of bars and accuracy of geometrical shape of short holes.
