FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: automatic fluid control units and methods for fire protection include a configuration of electrically actuated control points, a valve body and a controller for actuating said fluid control assembly. Automatic fluid control unit has inlet, outlet and valve body for flow control between inlet and outlet. Electric retainer includes first electrically actuated control point and second electrically actuated control point in fluid communication with control line to control fluid flow from inlet to valve body and to outlet. Methods of controlling fluid include controlling a plurality of electrically actuated control points in order to perform a leak test, or an opening test, or a flow test, or a water supply test, or a validation test of a non-trip condition and a trip condition.
EFFECT: disclosed is a fluid control unit for sprinkler systems.
