FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: fluid control valve and valve actuator assembly includes a pressure operated fluid control valve having an inlet and an outlet, located along the flow axis for controlling the flow of liquid from a liquid supply piping system into a sprinkler piping system when transitioning the fire protection system from a stand-by state to an actuated state, wherein the control valve comprises a valve housing defining a valve chamber for holding a pressurized fluid to prevent the flow of fluid through the control valve. Valve actuator includes a housing having an inner surface defining an inner chamber with a central axis, first actuator seat, located along the inner surface of the housing surrounding the central axis, second actuator seat located along the inner surface, located around and surrounding the first actuator seat, a sealing element defining a hermetic position, wherein it is in contact with the first actuator seat and the second actuator seat, wherein the sealing element also defines an open position in which it is located at a distance in the axial direction from the first and second actuator seats. First channel is located near the first actuator seat in communication with the inner chamber and the control valve chamber. Second channel is in communication with the inner chamber to provide fluid communication with the automatic control device. Third channel for fluid communication with a drain line connected to the inner chamber, isolated from the first and second channels, when the sealing element is in a sealed position and in fluid communication with the first channel and the second channel, when the sealing element is in an open position, and a fourth channel for fluid communication with the fluid supply system, communicating with the first channel and with the inner chamber, isolated from the third channel, when the sealing element is in a sealed position and in fluid communication with the third channel, when the sealing element is in an open position.

EFFECT: systems and methods for operating the fluid control valve and valve actuator assembly are proposed.
