FIELD: electrical communication engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of transmitting data over asynchronous communication networks. To achieve technical result on transmitting side, during transmission of initial data, forming a data frame, which contains redundant information for recovery of damaged data and information necessary for adaptation of data transmission settings used by the transmitting side, for changes in the communication channel status. At the receiving side, the damaged initial data are restored using redundant information on the source data and information on data transmission settings used by the transmitting side for adaptive adjustment of the receiving side operation modes. Redundant information necessary for protection of data frame header and for protection of data blocks is added to data frame, wherein such protection is performed for each data unit separately, in which error correction codes are applied. Receiving side may also form a service frame for the transmitting side containing information on new data transmission settings used by the transmitting side, designed for adaptive adjustment of the receiving side operation modes.

EFFECT: guaranteed transfer of initial data over asynchronous communication networks with low-speed communication channels and/or low quality of connection of communication channels.
